To improve the environmental health of Bartlett and Geary Parkettes through native tree and shrub planting, clean up, habitat restoration and removal of impervious paving materials.

To create an accessible memorial community garden in order to engage the community and to implement a horticultural therapy program for survivors of strokes, physical trauma and illness.

Project Name: Bell Manor Garden

To hold four gardening workshops and provide garden equipment and supplies for the Bell Manor Community Garden which is expanded in 2008.
Project Name: Children and Seniors Create Gardens Together
Organization: Sunshine Centre for Seniors
To engage high school youth and elementary school children from high priority neighborhoods to work with the Senior's Gardening Committee to build and plant a garden, including a decorated 'twig and branch' fence.
Project Name: Green Thumbs\Growing Kids @ Allan Gardens
Organization: Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs\Green Thumbs
To provide a 10 week greenhouse gardening program for children of local schools (K-6), including growing plants from seed, vermicomposting, soil preparation, etc.
